You took Action! Wisconsin

UPDATE: Legislation creating production incentives and a state film office has been passed and signed into law! This program’s details includes:

    • A 30% transferable tax credit on qualifying production expenditures for taxable years beginning after December 31, 2025
    • Qualifying productions include feature and short films, scripted and unscripted television series, documentaries and advertising
    • Minimum spend for feature films: $100,000
    • Minimum spend for short films: $50,000
    • Annual fund: $5 million (with a maximum of $1 million per project)
    • Only money spent on Wisconsin-based businesses and crew wages qualify
    • Details about the state film office will be available later this year.

Action! Wisconsin is a statewide coalition of filmmakers, crew members, craftspeople and technicians, city governments, hotels, restaurants and caterers, small business owners, educators and others working to create and retain jobs, boost local economies and promote tourism statewide through film and television production.
